Reading stops the snacking

Somehow, for me, everything is food related, if only tangentially. Anything that helps with root issues I used to try to numb by emotional eating, anything that helps me accept and live in the here and now, anything that sparks interest and inspires, supports a way of eating that's tuned-in for me at the time. And comforting, enjoyable reading on Sundays is the best! Also, body-positive self-portraits! :-)

Glen, I find this topic so fascinating! I truly believe we are all old souls.
T8U9, I'm a total book worm! I am completely transferred to story time and place. And body positivity is something I'm rather new to. I've hated the way I look for many years, but that's a whole other issue!

Books to me are like a movie in your mind, but you get to do the casting, determine the voices of the characters, and then let it all play out! Books are truly an escape and comfort. Plus, like Ginger mentioned, when you're engrossed in a book, your mind seems to disconnect from the stomach...

EXACTLY cranky!! It always better when it's made up by you!! No time for food when you're mind is busy creating a whole new world!!
