So I have noticed so many posts about carbs and how they are trying to stay away from carbs...What a lot of people don't understand it's only certain types of carbs that are bad for you such as as processed carbs, sugar and bread carbs..Veggie and fruit carbs are power carbs...You can't cut out natural carbs because we are built to take those carbs in because our bodies thrive off them and they help fight hunger pains lol .... Some don't realize that dairy,eggs, bread, all processed foods and sugar carbs are what causes all there health issues and weight problems...DON'T CUT OUT NATURAL CARBS PEOPLE

how many naural carbs, like from fruits, are we supposed to eat? I was using them hardcore for a nutritional substiue for snacking. then I heard they were bad... I am confused!

i totally agree with this! i am vegan and my diet consists mostly of fresh fruit (love bananas!) and rice and veggies and i am a healthy 5'1 and 105 pounds!

carbs do NOT make you fat. it's animal protein and milk that is meant to fatten up cows.

As a diabetic, carbs are not my friend. Even the "healthy" carbs can spike my blood sugars. I do eat healthy carbs but I must keep my carb intake super low or risk doing more damage to my body from high blood sugars. Each and every "body" is individually different. Unfortunately, One mold does not fit all.

Sorry - carbs are carbs - they all become sugar in the system and many people cannot handle the glucose.

Good point. I didn't become fat from eating fruits and vegetables. But, if low carb works is the best way for others (whether due to diabetes or a metabolic disorder), I won't try to sway them. Different strokes and all!

Every body is different. And different times in life can require different nutrition for the same person maintaining the same size. Here's to supporting whatever selfcare choices people are making for themselves at this time.

Sugar, processed carbs do make you gain weight..Have you ever heard of muffin top? You will store those carb calories in your middle section...The good carbs which our bodies need are fruits and vegetable carbs..We are built and designed to eat them..We are natural vegetarians...When we pair those natural carbs with sugar, bread or processed carbs is when its bad because we have a hard time digesting them in our lower intestine...Keep watching the health documentaries...You can learn the right food combinations and keep your body healthy by knowing what carbs to eat or not eat..We have to have carbs..Don't ever deprive your body's from natural carbs..Those good carbs help your, heart, blood sugar, brain function, and much more

Also meat have carbs lol ..Protein doesn't make you Father lol ... Not even animal protein at safe levels...Everything we eat turns to sugar..If you eat natural sugar like a fruit your body's know what to do but processed sugar your body stores it and has to work harder to break it down... All those bad foods spike your blood sugar cause you to over eat and eat when you aren't even hungry

I've lost a ton of weight by eating high fat, low protein, and almost zero carbs! You do you, I'll do me, and I haven't had a hunger craving in months because fat satisfies!!!!
