Wow, just finished logging my calories for breakfast. I did not realize how many calories were in all of those items! I thought I was making and eating a healthy breakfast until I logged it on here. My goal was to eat meals around 250-300 calories 4-5 times a day. NOT 600 CALORIES! Ugh. I will be eating one less meal today. Gotta go to the gym...

We've all been there! Something that helped me get better at estimating the calorie count of a meal was to look up the food before I prepared/ate it. It gave me a chance to see where there might be an opportunity to substitute choices to reduce the calories in my meal, without me feeling unsatisfied. After a little time doing that, I've found that I'm better at estimating in my head. It's all a learning process!

Definitely! Did not think I was eating half my calorie limit for the day! Next time I will take out the egg yolks + 1 egg white, cheese, and substitute apples for apple sauce.
