Should I buy a scale?

A while ago I found myself so compulsive about weighing myself that I actually threw my scale in the trash. I felt like it discouraged me not to see dramatic differences on the scale which to me really, the number of my weight doesn't mean as much as how my clothes fit.My natural build contains a lot of muscle as it is and most people can never believe how much I weigh when i tell them.

A lot of the challenges on here are based on weight which makes me think maybe I should start weighing myself again? Another part of me would rather not weigh myself and go by looks.

Maybe I'll use a friends scale to weigh myself initially and use it again in a month to report my progress. Its just so hard for me not to weigh myself all the time when its right there in the bathroom.
