Started our Healthy Lifestyles Bible Study study last night at church. They didn't have the best scales, old doctor office scales with the slide weighing arm. We are going to get Digital for next weeks weigh in. Those scales were not favorable to me, however I was weighing in the evenings, with full clothes, jeans for that matter. I am up this week but it is TOM, so I know that is some of it, plus stress at work did not lead to great eating. Had too many sweets.

Can't blame it on Valentine's Day eating as we really didn't have one. My husband left early morning yesterday to go feed and hay his dad's cattle in East Texas. My husband's grandmother was moved to Comfort Care on Saturday. As of this afternoon, she is still hanging on however she's in a coma basically. Friday's CT Scan showed no activity and she's completely unresponsive. They are basically providing her with oxygen and pain medication, not fluids or food, other medications, etc. Such a said way to go. Very draining on my husband's dad and his siblings. They stayed all night in the hospital in the room with her. Her breathing is slowing. The kids have told her she can let go and go me with their dad, but something is keeping her here.

I am hoping the sunshine will get me motivated to workout better. I did ok last week, but still not at my 5 days/consistent workouts which is my goal.

The weekly weigh in for the "First Place" program will be a huge help to me I think. We are challenged to log in 100 miles during the 12 week program. So that is my new goal!!!! That would be 8.5 miles week and it gives you conversions for other exercises as to how many miles they equal. The BL Workout or Shred workout equals 4 miles of activity, so just 2 days of those workouts and I am good! Just have to get those 2 days, preferably 5!!!!

I am so concentrating on the workouts and eating this week because I know at some point, we will be traveling to Arkansas so for 2 days will be out of my eating and exercise mode, so have to get the most of it in while I know we are home.

I am also planning to participate with my friends/family in Lent. I am Baptist, so we do not practice Lent traditionally, however I have Catholic co-workers and my sister-in-law who is Methodist will be starting Lent on Wednesday. I plan to follow their lead and give up sweets (except for March 27th, my 2 year old's birthday). That means cookies, cakes, candy, ice cream, etc. and also sodas even diet. Only tea, water and green tea for me!!! I figure if everyone around me can't eat those things, why should I.
