SturgeonQueen's Journal, 13 Feb 10

Well, I'm happy to say that I bought set of ankle weights, each 2.5lbs (not 5lbs each sorry!), that I've been wearing everywhere! When I drive, when I walk to school, doing housework, and during exercise. I'm sure I might be burning a little bit more calories by wearing these, but I don't know how to record that... so I'm happy with recording just the exercise that the site has. Trying to kick up proteins in my diet, but carbs are always winning out... no big deal I suppose as long as I keep exercising and sticking to my diet.

We stocked our fridge over the last few days and I'm really excited to say that when I open it, it's almost all healthy food now! My boyfriend doesn't need to diet or anything but he's very supportive of my wanting to eat healthy, and it can't hurt him! He snacks more than I do, so that's been kind of a challenge, because he'll make some delicious cheesy noodle dish, or bacon or something, but I go for the celery now! Go me!

That ankle weight idea is REALLY good... I think I'm gonna go buy some now honestly.

I bought them from Gold's Gym brand - they are the 5lb a piece weights, they are army green and padded... just telling you because at first, I was ambitious and bought the 20lb (10lb a piece) ones, and they are HUGE! These ones you can definitely wear under your workout stuff, or over them, and I can wear them under my jeans too... :)

Whoops, actually I think they are 2.5lbs a piece? So an extra 5lbs total, but like I said, the ones that are bigger (i.e., the ones that are 5lbs a piece and 10lbs a piece) are a LOT bigger and wouldn't be easily concealable under clothes, and honestly would not stay tight around my legs and kept slipping.
