Hey All - Well, after another long day of shopping..I have successfully chosen my dress for my daughter's wedding. I will be figuring out how to copy a link to the dress and posting it later today. (the picture is in black, but the dress is being ordered in either a med/light blue or a med/light green.) haven't decided yet!
Just wrote a short but encouraging message to my Tues night group, and realized it's pretty much what all of us need to review once in awhile, so I am posting it here in my journal for all of us!!! Me included!
"Working our way thru another week!! And either you are – or you are not – holding yourself accountable.
This is for you. These changes, this new way of life, this journey towards better health… all for YOU!
So, are you tracking your food daily? – if not, why not!!! Twice as much weight lost by those that track daily. Why do you think that is? –Because it keeps you honest, and accountable to what you are eating.
Are you familiar with your plan? Do you know which foods are the better choices? Are you choosing them, faithfully – each day, knowing this will bring you further along in your journey?
Have you slipped up? And if so – have you acknowledged it and right there and then – forgiven yourself, and right back to the parameters you have set for yourself?
Are you drinking your water daily? (the side effects of dehydration are real. And dangerous.) But the benefit of drinking water daily for you – is flushing out the toxins and fat being released by the cells. So, up your water by another 8 oz’s every day!
Are you finding ways to be more active? Have you started some kind of walking regularly? Or Stretching Exercises? Resistance Bands? Gym Membership? Game DVD’s? – Honestly, there are soooo many choices available – it should not be hard to come up w/ something you can do that you actually ‘like’ – at least every other day! Put it on your calendar as an appt if you have to – but be committed to yourself to DO IT!
Are you weighing yourself? Did you take your measurements at the start? It is time for you to be re-taking those measurements and seeing how many inches are lost, in addition to the number of pounds. If a healthy loss is considered 1-2 lbs / week, than each of you should be on track for a minimum of 3-5 lbs. (we had a few late starters w/ choosing their plans).
If you have not lost anything – or have not lost at the aprox 1 lb / week – double check the list above. RE- dedicate yourself to making WHAT you are doing…line up with YOUR GOALS! (some weeks you may not lose a pound, other weeks only ½ lb., and others still you might lose 2 lbs in a week.) So average it out over a month. That is helpful.
Keep doing these things daily – bottom line – head in the game. Everybody! Don’t accept excuses from yourself. YOU have every tool you need to make this change REAL for you!!! USE THEM! And you will see progress!"
Much Love.
