I am beginning to understand how those that live in Alaska feel. I truly am wanting some SUNSHINE. North parts of Texas are getting snow, for us we are just supposed to get cold dreary rain. If it is going to be cold, lets just go ahead and get the snow too :)

My in-laws are expecting 4-6 inches in East Texas, about 3 hours north of here. My parents would be watching it snow too, but they are in San Antonio with my new nephew.

It would be fun for the boys to get to see and play in the snow. We got a light snow when 2 years ago, enough the kids were able to make snowballs and have snowball fights at recess. Nathan came home and said his teacher was even throwing them :)

I am ready for sunshine and outside workouts again. I have been walking in the mall at lunch, but just not the same. We are moving to our new building in less than a month. It has a great walking area around the location, so looking forward to that. They also have a gym down the road (I actually was a member of it when I lived in the subdivision around there). I am considering joining it again. I could practically walk there during lunch :) I haven't heard back to find out the membership fees. When I joined the first time, they were reasonable.

I am starting "Walk Across Texas" this weekend. It is an 8 week Team program through our Texas AgriLife Extension. The goal is for you as a Team to log in 830 miles (which is the distance from the farthermost point in East Texas to El Paso). Each person needs to average 13 miles/week to accomplish this goal. They have a calculator that converts various exercise into miles. My 30 minute BL or 30 Day Shred work outs equal 4 miles alone, so if I do those 5 days a week, will log in some great miles for the team.

That sounds like a really cool program. How did you find out about it? That would definitely keep me motivated. I am with you with the cold should equal snow. I am not the biggest fan of rain. Hope you get some sunshine soon! xoxoxo.

It is actually through the State Agency I work for (Texas AgriLife Extension Service), began in 1996 to encourage people to get out and exercise. Each year they encourage counties to have a Walk Across Texas, the one for Brazos County begins this weekend. Co-workers at work comprised a team. I posted the link up in my journal if you want to see more about it.
