crappy day today..ugh...very stressed.....How do I tell my husband to stop including me in dinner decisions during the week. By the time I get home I normally have about 5 points left and I am not hungry and if I am I really dont want a whole meal. Last night I cooked a huge dinner, becasue he asked.... but I am suffering today... late night snacking is not my problem...I can stop eating by 6pm, but when you are married to someone who thinks dinner at 9pm is cool, makes it very hard for me.

Aw, I know the issues with the husband. My husband and I keep struggling because I'm trying to make healthy food but he either doesn't like something I wan† to make (beans) or he tells me it's not enough food (chicken breasts and salad). Not in a mean way--but it's hard to find a balance. Sometimes I just throw a potato in the microwave and mash it up while I eat salad with the chicken. And we always eat late. :( I think you can probably let him know how important this is to you and try to work something out?

Thank you Beets! Tuesday night we brought Stromboli, last night we had chicken, creamed spinach and white rice AND sweet potatoes with brown sugar. It is really getting out of control. And me makes me feel guilty when I make my meal and tell him he and the kids can make whatever they want, just leave me out of it ....my meals are easy to make so I dont need to be in the darn kitchen long... I have a 18 yr and a 10yr home (17yr go away to school) they are capable of managing themselves... So why I am in the darn kitchen every evening...UGH..

Yeah--maybe you can make something ahead of time, for either you or them? Like a stew or a casserole? Or maybe make something healthier that they will eat, too? The making of multiple dinners is TOO MUCH.

I don't have a problem sitting at the table with the family and eating something different from them. I love to cook though, and like to cook a bunch of food all at once so I don't end up cooking every day. I agree with Beets - start making things that are healthy and that you can eat too - or pack up leftovers for lunch the next day. Gotta love those husbands though - my husband loves seeing me cooking or doing the dishes - it's our little joke now! LOL! Men...
