I had a pretty good weekend. I was going to make kalua pork but Whole Foods had no pork shoulder or butt and I checked both Friday and Saturday. Bah. But I had gotten four pieces of bacon (for the recipe) from the butcher case since I didn't want to buy a whole pound. Since I couldn't use them in the pork, I cooked them for breakfast on Sunday. OH WOW. I am so not ever buying the thin stuff again. That bacon was sooooo good. And since the DH rarely eats bacon a pound is really too much to buy at a time. I'm totes sold on the by-the-strip buying option. It had gotten to where I mostly only get it in restaurants but the quality is *so* uneven.

In honour of which.... Starry Night done in bacon because it is just too silly!

Love my bacon, as evidenced by my bacon post from last week!! lol Love the Starry Night! I actually follow a bacon site on FB! lol

Silly pic yes but amazing all the same. Someone has too much time on their hands but are also very creative. Sounds like you are doing well. Love me some bacon too. Very messy to cook it though, my husband gets grease EVERYWHERE! I wish he would BBQ it.
