Well friends, it has been way tooooo long. I have gained weight back and need to lose about 30 pounds. School and work have taken a toll and I need to recommit to staying healthy. I am now 50 and soon to be 51. I updated my profile today with some new goals and look forward to getting under 200 pounds again. I can do this by using Fatsecret again!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend and I will be joining challenges again soon.

Welcome back, though I am sorry about the gain. (I did it too--) This time I "restarted my diet" so I could easier see my progress because that is motivating to me. If I might suggest a challenge, there is one starting tomorrow that is "intermittent fasting." Don't let that "fasting" part scare you off, you can fast from, say, 6 pm to 6 am to meet the 12 hr suggestion. That's just cutting out any after-dinner snacks. I'll be doing it (am already doing it, actually) and I hope to see you there.

GOOD LUCK KIM, I RETIRED LAST MAY AND WENT FROM 276 TO 300! I HAVE A HIP/LEG/LOWER BACK PROBLEM THAT MADE ME RETIRE AT 62. MY EXERCISE CONSISTS OF TAKING A WALK AROUND THE BLOCK MAYBE TWICE A WEEK. NOW I PUT MY SELF ON A NO MORE THAN 1600 CAL. INTAKE PER DAY, AND I'M WATCHING THAT CLOSE, TRYING NOT TO SNACK AFTER SUPPER WHILE WATCHING TV. THE SNACKS NOW WOULD BE POPCORN, GRAHAM CRACKERS OR RICE CAKES. I'M DOING AN EXERCISE I INVENTED TWO TO FOUR TIME A DAY EACH SET OF 100. I'M TRYING TO DO MORE AND LONGER WALKS AROUND THE BLOCK. I'M ALSO DRINKING BEFORE EACH MEAL, ONE GLASS OF WATER WITH 2 TBLS. OF VINIGAR AND AFTER A MEAL GRAPEFRUIT JUICE. THIS WEEK I'M FLUTTERING BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN 300 AND 297., THIS IS MY FIRS WEEK I'M DOING THIS ON FATSECRET AND RECORDING MY MEALS AND EXERCISE..........MAN, IT'S HARD GETTING CONTROL AGAIN, WISH I HAD DONE MORE WHILE I WAS WORKING! AND, THE OLDER WE GET THE HARDER IT IS TO GET RID OF UNWANTED FAT AND WEIGH. I'M DETERMINED I'M NOT GIVING IN THIS TIME. DR. GAVE ME SOME PILLS. I STARTED AND STOPPED THE ONE MED. DUE TO SIDE AFFECTS AND THE OTHER ON NOT COVERED BY MY INSSURANCE HAS THE SAME SIDE AFFECTS, SO I WON'T BE GETTING THAT ONE FILLED. I'M ON MY OWN! DR. WANTS TO SEE ME IN ONE MONTH, I GOT TO SHOW HIME SOME RESULTS, SURE HE WON'T BE HAPPY I'M NOT TAKING HIS MEDS. O'WELL, DAY BY DAY! MY FIRST GOAL IS GETTING DOWN TO 250. AND THEN I'LL SET ANOTHER GOAL, I THINK I'D BE HAPPY AT 220 OR 230. GOOD LUCK AND KEEP UP THE HARD WORK..
