I am so sore today, yet somehow I feel pretty good about it.

Kickboxing class last night actually turned out to be a "fitness kickboxing" class, which really means aerobics using kickboxing moves. It reminded me of tae-bo. That's not really a bad thing, I suppose, but definitely not what I expected, and I probably wouldn't have knowingly paid for it. That said, it was a pretty good workout, and I have 9 more classes that are already paid for, so I may as well use them.

I ended up being the only male in the class, which can be slightly off-putting in a situation like this. Normally, I wouldn't mind being the only guy in a room full of women, but I was a "new kid", and at times I was having obvious trouble keeping up with the group. Plus, my GF was right next to me. So, I didn't exactly cut an impressive profile, but I don't think I embarrassed myself too bad, so hooray for that.

I'd really like to do some walking today, but the weather here in the NYC area is pretty crappy. Hopefully, I can motivate myself to walk up & down the stairs a few times just to get off my ass.

Otherwise, it is a pretty good day. I have a light load at work, and it's payday, so I may treat myself to non-cafeteria food for lunch. It's really the small pleasures that make my day.

I'm working on cutting down on "sneaky carbs", which hide in things like Splenda, milk, cheese, etc. So, I'm trying to limit myself to one cup of coffee per day, unless I can manage to drink it black. This may be a challenge, but I normally drink tea without any sweeteners, so it may not be too hard.

All in all, a good day so far. I hit a new low on the scale, and I managed to overcome soreness to do some Wii Fit yoga this morning. Things are looking up.

Good for you taking that kickboxing class even though you were the only guy! I've never done kickboxing, but I used to do karate, so I'm sure the class was a lot of fun. I can't drink my coffee black either, ew. Maybe I should try and cut back on the Splenda and cream though.
