just listening some Jim Croce... 'operator'... love music...love old music... at the time where music had lyrics and told stories and feelings..

I'm old but so glad to have been able to be exposed to it.

Hi! Another great artist who exited far too soon; I'm a fan also and still have an 8 track. Liked Lovers Cross too. Old rules (made it to 76 yesterday...shhh, don't tell my brain - still thinks we're in the early 60s). Have a great day

so you're a fellow Aquarian! Funny that you would call your brain a 'she'...but I agree with the premise! 76, we'll that's the new 50! :) Jim Croce's ballads, to me, always seemed very heartfelt - I find that's the best quality of his music.

My parents had a big record player with lots of records. We listened to a lot of them as kids, even when mom and dad weren't home. Jim Croce, The Beach Boys, Jan & Dean, Doobie Brothers, Mamas and the Papas, etc. This was in 1985 (4th grade) and beyond! I loved them!

I have been told I have a very eclectic taste in music. Of country type music I have Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson and Reba. I would never have thought I would have grown to love the sound, but it seems the older I get, the more wide my horizons are growing.
