When I decided to loose weight 2 years ago I cut out all Diet Coke. I was seriously addicted. I truely believe that it contributed to my weight gain.
Question though, if you have a fizzy beverage with sucrose in it does it have the same effect as Diet Coke?

I don't know. I believe everything in moderation. If you have something once and while it shouldn't have much an effect, especially if you drink your water.
