Basically this is what I do every day:

1. 2 bullet-proof coffees. What this means is that I includes is the following:
- 2 shots of espresso
- 1 TBS of MCT oils. Be careful of which MCT oils you get because many manufacturers have jumped in this trying to get into this market that do NOT do a great job. Message me, and I will explain this in more detail.
- 2 TBS of grass-fed butter. KerryGold is the most easily accessible brand out there. Be sure to get the UNsalted, not the one with added salt. You don't want salt in your drink!
- Use a hand-blender or other kind of high-speed blender to blend for about 20 seconds. This will emulsify the fat so that you can't tell there is fat in it. It's like a latte with half in half.

2. LOTS of green veggies, like broccoli or salad greens. Don't be misled by the quality because if you measured it, the carbs will be negligible. Eat to your heart's desire. Since I am on a HFLC program, I always add a couple TBS of butter to my cooked broccoli.

3. My carbs.
- Depending on my desires, I'll add 10-20 Fritos, or two of my low-carb bread slices with tuna and cheese combos (what used to be known as 'tuna melts'.
- Burger (1.3 to 1.3 ounces) with mustard. or salsa, or any other condiment.)
- Same with roasted chicken breast (ask me for into).
- Chili with mainly protein.
- Any other pre-prepared protein.

It's all pretty simple. Keep in mind that you want to keep the 70-85% fat. 20% Prot and the balance Carbs, with out going beyond 20-50 grams (which could be 5-X amount) of carbs.

Love y'all!
Rob

Interesting! I try to keep my carbs around 5% so the fritos would definitely be out for me. I skipped my bulletproof tea yesterday and I didn't loose anything so I'll add it back in today and see what happens. I'm surprised you use unsalted butter. I had read we need salt on a low carb diet because we loose so much of it. That and water. I picked up some punk Himalayan salt yesterday because it has 84 minerals that they strip from the white stuff.

Now MCT is a good one (C8s and C10s) that is cheaper than Dave's and everyone else in the fitness industry jumping on the band wagon (Asprey Keto sports, Jimmy Moore etc.),. Bargain basement brands, for sure I wouldn't buy

Pixie: back you up on the grass fed choice. There is a farm about 10 miles from me that provides GF beef from their Longhorns. Very tasty and a very good price. With grass fed and grass finished beef you don't have to worry about draining the fat since it is so good for you. I also buy the raw fat and render it to make tallow. VERY tasty on eggs, etc.

Your: Good point on the fritos, but I only eat 10 or so and that is only 14 grams of carbs. If I can still stay in the 20-40 grams a day spread, then it's a nice, tasty treat. You're right regarding salt. I do ingest pink salt too but I don't like salted BP coffees. Yuck.

Yugg: I tried the Now brand (and many others), but I could only take less than one teaspoon before it messed up my digestion. I can take 2 TBS of Dave's with no issues at all. I don't know why that is the case, but I think Dave purifies his more than others.

Dave's Brain Octain is very distilled to only have C8s. His XCT is very high in C8 and C10, which is what we have. Now brand claims to be similar to Daves, but they don't have a numerical composition claim like Dave does so you might be right. The cheap ones are full of C12s which can cause "disaster pants" if you have too much. also some folks need to get accustomed. Mother in law lost it when I gave her a bulletproof bar, but I can have a tablespoon of MCT no problem.

Yugg: I agree with you. The XCT is the way I recommend people go. It's the best for the price. While it runs $30 for a bottle for a month, it does take the place for almost two of my meals which actually makes it a better cost than eating.
