Quite mild here considering it is St Andrew's Day and that tomorrow is the first day of meteorological winter. Been out to shops a couple of times this morning. I look forward to my days off, but then have to try and catch up on the things I put off while working. End up my "off" days are never as relaxing as I had imagined they'd be!

It's positively balmy here, Jocko. We're expecting a high of 82 today! Hoping to get some much-needed rain tonight, though. Enjoy your tasks today.

-6C when I was scraping my car! I'd got to the campus before my car was fully warm. Although part of that is my fault for driving a shed, it's still around 45 minutes travel time.

Currently 7°C/45°F here. Rather grey with a bit of a breeze. My Honda Jazz has such a tiny engine that it barely puts out any heat. It is a balance between turning the heater on, then the engine struggles to get hot, or go cold and let the engine warm up with attendant better mpg. I opt for mpg every time. Mind you, I only have a 10 - 15 minute trip to work.

The start of meteorological winter. I was wondering how long we have been using this phrase. In the past I wanted to throw something at the TV weather reporters for using it I suppose it makes sense really. Its just me being old-fashioned.
Have a nice relaxing day Jocko!

I know what you mean Jocko. When I was working 5 days a week , my other two days off were catching up with everything. Enjoy them as go so quickly 🙂

It's amazing, though, how much more you can get done on your day off opposed to being in retirement and plenty of time to do all things. As a retiree, I am the world's best procrastinator.
