Laura has been granted a visitors visa until she departs for Brazil. She will have to apply for another student visa on her return to Hong Kong, but they have accepted her excuse for not renewing on time (illness), so that is a start. Her mother has climbed down a few branches of the stress tree, with a knock on effect for me. Today I start counting calories again. And drinking water. My cold is in full sail at the moment and my nose feels as if it has been through the blender. To make matters worse, Madge has the start of the signature sore throat. Ah well, at least I'll get a kiss now.
