Kimmy its all about the water we carry on us in our fat cells. When I go offplan my fat cells fill up with water and my glycogen created from the carbs I eat makes me hold water. When I get myself back on track and have a fast day + a low carb day (actually its 2 low carbs days because my fast day is no food), my fat cells shed the water they are holding onto hence the rapid weight loss initially. As I lose more body fat I will lose the ability to drop so rapidly because I wont be able to hold onto so much excess water. The fasting lifestyle plays a big role in weight management and I encourage people to try it :)
