flaxseed's Journal, 10 Dec 09

I've given myself another stern talking to and today has been a bit more upbeat. We've been to the Chrismas Market tonight but it was very cold as the temperature was dropping so we didn't stay too long. The forecast for tomorrow is below freezing and foggy for most of the day.

The good news is that when we got back from the market there was a message on the answering machine from OH's consultant saying he wants to see him at 10.30 tomorrow. How quick is that? He only got back in the country yesterday. Hopefully we should know more tomorrow and will be able to decide what sort of treatment is available this time and whether we will be able to go away for Christmas.

I've decided I have to start thinking of 5 things I'm grateful for to keep me upbeat, so here are my 1st 5

A daily phone call from my daughter

A cold wet nose and a warm lick waking me in the morning

The joy of looking out of my windows and seeing all mother nature provides

The UK national health service

Positive thinking.

Have a happy Day

Tell your OH to warm up his nose before he licks you! LOL! Sorry, I couldn't resist! ;) Wonderful that the consultant can see you so quickly. I'm hoping for the best!

Your list of 5 reminds me of our good buddy madaboutmoose. So nice! The attitude of gratitude is commendable! I enjoy Mother Nature during my drive to work. I also enjoy the cold wet nose in the morning -- not our little dachshund -- but my husband's cold nose -- He-he-he-he-he-he-he! Have a great day!

Good for you Flaxseed!!! So happy you have an appointment so quickly for your OH!!! Sometimes I feel like I am digging DEEP for my five but I must tell you ... it does help me to stay more positive and less in despair. Can't promise I'll do it everyday but I try. I loved reading yours!!! I love your entries here anyway ... "up" or "down" you are a dear soul!!!
