After some deliberation, I decided to allow myself to have milk and Splenda with my coffee, rather than drinking it black. This is going to add a small amount of carbs to my daily intake, but hopefully, I can keep it under 5%.

You might want to try agave. Its a natural sweet syrup made from a desert plant. I put it in my coffee every morning and it works great (tastes just like sugar). It also has a lot fewer carbs than sugar. You can find it at any natural foods store. I get mine from Whole Foods.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I'm on an all-meat diet at the moment, so that means no sugar or agave, and I really shouldn't have Splenda, either, but I figure it's OK since it has 0 calories, so there are no usable carbs. The milk does have carbs, though, since it contains natural sugars. I'm willing to bend on it, since is such a small amount.
