kristy1121's Journal, 25 Oct 11

I'm pretty happy with myself today. I did what I set out to do yesterday, and stayed on track completely. I went to the gym last night for the first time in almost 3 weeks. I did 45 minutes on the elyptical machine and I thought I was going to fall over out of breath, but I pushed through it. And I felt great when it was over!! I had to weigh myself this morning, since I was so mad at myself when I saw that 180.0 looking at me yesterday. Down to 178.2! I still have a way to go, but that's ok. My official weigh-in is Thursday and last Thursday I weighed-in at 177.0. I'm hoping that I show a loss or at least get back down to that same number. We'll see. I drank tons of water yesterday too. I didn't think about it until yesterday, but I have definitely been skimpping out on the water. I think it makes a huge difference to drink at least the 64 oz of water every day, and I have not been drinking more than 32 oz per day if I'm lucky. I'm going to be more aware of how many bottles I'm drinking each day and add that to my food tracker in the snacks area, where I list my veggies. Then I'll know I'm getting at least the minimum of these important foods. Have a great day, everyone!!

Glad to hear that the day went well for you. And to see the extra "carb" weight coming off quickly :) Drinking enough water is hard for me too. Great job on going to the gym!

Thank you!! I feel so much better today than I did yesterday. I wouldn't have said it yesterday, but I think my weekend screw up helped me out! It put things back into focus for me, and my drive to get to my goals has been reinforced. That is just what I needed. I have really been slipping lately - not all out cheating, but I have not been getting in my exercise, veggies, and water. I'm gonna do this! Thanks again!

My Parrellel Buddy! I am with you again. I stayed on track yesterday and felt great. I only did 30 minutes on the elliptical but I am taking it easy due to aches and pains. I plan to follow suit today too. I also am hoping that I can at least get down to where I was on my last weigh in. It would be Outstanding to have a loss but I did so bad on Sunday I'm not sure if that is possible. We will see. Let's keep each other motivated. :-)

You got it, Trublu. We are going to kick butt this week and have a loss. From my lips to God's ears :) Keep up the good work. I'm going to hit the gym again tonignt, you?

I am :-) I want to do the elliptical and walk a bit on the treadmill. I will finish it all with some abs and push ups. I just ate my chicken and vegetables for lunch. I haven't had any empty calories yesterday or today. At this rate we will have a loss on our next weigh in. We can do it. I would weigh myself tomorrow morning to see where I am ate but for me it is hard to look at the scale and not get discouraged when it doesn't say what I am expecting. I will have to wait until my weigh in. I admire you for being able to do that and stay focused. That sometimes makes me loose it. That is why I am one that weighs in weekly rather than daily. I'm weak when it comes to that :-(

Excellent! We are definitely going to have a loss on Thursday, as long as we stay focused. And I'm here for support, don't forget it. I usually get discouraged when I don't see a good number on the scale too, I guess it's a good thing I saw something that I liked! I found a solution to my tv dilema... Last night, instead of watching my soaps alone - where the urge to graze kicks in - I watched a movie with the husband and my boys. Gulliver's Travels with Jack Black was on and it was funny! I don't cheat with an audience, so I guess limiting my tv while I'm alone will keep me from pigging out. I hope my family will watch General Hospital with me too! LOL

Good point. Family time is a blessing. I love sitting down to watch a good movie. I get so into it that I don't think about food as much. Maybe I'll watch a movie this weekend.
