I prepped for a colonoscopy this weekend, and although I know that any weight loss would have been an illusion (as it was just poop loss), I was excited to get on the scale just to see a lower number for a change.

Interestingly the scale was not down during the prescribed cleanse or on the day of the procedure. Perhaps compensatory water gain. However it was a good reminder not to pay close attention to the numbers or to cheat my way to positive feedback.

The best feedback was a pink, healthy colon, and a doctor that said "You're doing it right. Keep doing what you're doing."
