RMSugarfoot's Journal, 15 May 16

My Doctor's scales said I weighed in at 225 on Friday the 13th. I just put new batteries in my scale at home and weighed in this morning at 218. Well weighed myself three times just to be sure I wasn't hallucinating. Now I'm wondering how close my scales are to the Doctor's scales. I'll have to check next time.

Anyway, if this is true, I'm so happy, happy, happy.

Well, are you weighing yourself at the same time of day? Best time to weigh yourself would be in the morning after getting out of the bed and after going the bathroom. If he weighed you before a meal or early in the morning that could explain the difference. 225 and 218 is a significant difference. Take his number. :)) His scale is probably more accurate.

Pick one scale as your "official" scale to gauge your weight loss. Doctors are supposed to calibrate their scales regularly and don't always do it. Doctors scale and yours should be within a few pounds of each other. Flooring also affects scale (should be hard level surface). Weigh same scale, same clothes, same time of day, same everything for the most accurate gauge of weight loss.

You should be able to find something in your home that has a standard weight like a 5-pound bag of flour I would be terribly afraid if a doctor's scales we're that far off

I weighed before breakfast. Weighing something around the house is a good idea. I'll try that tomorrow. They are electric scales, so I don't know how to adjust them if they are off.
