Felt really sludgy yesterday and today is even worse. I'm going to have a heavier food day today, I think. I know my calories have been too low, but just wasn't feeling hungry. I was having a hard time doing leg weights yesterday. So tired.

Greetings, hope you feel better today. I notice you are eating very low calorie so your body is holding on and possibly screaming for more nutrients. You eat lots of protein and believe it or not, protein can be metabolized to extra glucose if the body needs energy. You my want to try adding a little healthy fats (I know sounds crazy) like a handful if almonds, a little avocado, whole eggs, etc. The fats will give more energy and maybe move the metabolism. Best of luck!

The problem with really low calories isn't 'starvation mode'. What normally happens on extremely low calories is you destroy muscle mass unless you're really careful (lifting weights and making sure you get protein). Once your muscle mass is gone, your metabolism slows down. This is what most people decide is 'starvation mode'. It certain seems like your body must be retaining calories because your calories are low but you're still not losing weight. It's because it doesn't have muscle to maintain any more and muscle is calorie hungry. It could be you're starved for carbs which is an issue if you are not in ketosis. (I eat carbs.) My recommendation for getting calories in? 60 g almonds, 15 g raisins and 15 g chocolate chips. Yeah, you read that right. The chocolate chips make it so you want to. That's about 400 calories and it's not much to eat.

Trying to get to the gym more. I love weights. I have joint issues so am not where I used to be before I had a bad couple of years with them. That's where I put my weight back on. Doing better now so am trying to build back up to it. I'll try and add more good carbs and really try to remember to take my vitamins, lol. Thanks for your input! (Mmmmmm....chocolate chips, lol)
