Hang in there....it can be hard to do when you're feeling depressed, but maybe try to get out and do something that'll help you feel more positive? Maybe connect with a friend? Sending you positive thoughts.

(((((Hugs))))) and wishes that the big D willb lift soon. When I feel that dark demon lurking, if possible, I try to get out and walk a bit. It sometimes will be enough to shake it off. I agree with Glen, try to talk it out in a safe place.
We are all here for you. You are NOT alone.

Try to enjoy, I look at my brother in law, and he says the cancer is painful, but somehow he puts one foot in front of the other.

Thanks everyone. Just feeling very bummed and frustrated because the scale won't budge. I am weighing and logging everything I eat. I think my bathroom scale is broken ....or it just hates me.

Bummed is not the same thing as depressed. PLEASE do not use the term depressed for when you are bummed or sad. Depression is a clinical diagnosis and a difficult mental illness to struggle with. It should not be tossed around lightly.

"Depressed" is also part of the common vernacular for being in a low mood and feeling sad/unhappy. In fact, that is the primary definition in multiple dictionaries. English is a fluid language full of words with multiple correct usages. Please don't judge others for expressing themselves properly when they're already having a lousy day.

My mother suffered greatly from chemical depression. Being " depressed" is a feeling and a symptom of depression, but you can also feel depressed without the chemical imbalance part of it. They should have just named depression something different so as not to confuse the 2 things.

I agree with kpwcalories and joannelm...
actually they said it so perfectly that I don't have much to add except ... don't kick a man (woman) when he's down...

I feel for you Joanne... you were excited and encouraged a day ago to try out some new strategies to move the scale, but it sounds like that dang thing is stuck. Coupled with your daughter being away it has to be a tougher "go" than usual. I know it sounds lame, but we are all here for you!! Good luck for your fat loss progress, again, take care!!

Joanne you are so right about the naming thing, it seems every time we have issues the doctors call it depression and then we feel like we have a black cloud over us. You have your FS community to reach out to when you need it.
