Well, I had my annual neurological assessment today and didn't hear what I had been hoping to hear. Given my symptoms, the weakness in my right leg is no longer just a result of a non-existent disk. MS is playing a part. The numbness in my right hand may not be only a side affect of my meds - it's possible MS is playing a part there too. So, another MRI will be scheduled to see exactly where the lesions are in my spine. Oh, and to top it off, apparently I have a cyst on the Pineal gland in my brain. That's the gland that produces melatonin, which in turn helps you sleep - something I haven't done through the night for years. This might be the reason. So, now I'm going to try a melatonin supplement to see if that helps since sleep aids don't. But, the upside is that my neurologist thinks I'll benefit from rehab training and my massage therapist owns a clinic that specializes in athletic therapy. I'm also going to enroll in two more research programs. I am the ultimate guinea pig when it comes to MS trials and research. Even if it doesn't help me, it might help someone else, and that's what counts. Anyhoo, onwards and upwards and let's see what tomorrow brings... Roses would be nice.

Hey Jamaica - some tough news, but you have a wonderful attitude. From what I know of MS (and I know it is different for each one), but the numbness and weakness seem most likely attributable to the MS. Good for you on being a guinea pig, without people like you there will never be a cure for this disease. Stay strong my friend!!! If there was a way I could send you roses I would!

Thank you Lynn and Pam and everyone else. I knew this was coming but I still wasn't impressed. Oh well, that's life I guess. And Pam, it was only a few days ago I was thinking of you. Glad to see you've resurfaced. :-) Give Buddy a hug for me.

Thank you Slip72. This is just a cause for a minor side-step adjustment. And a really good excuse to start exercising and sticking with it. 😊 And thank you SO much for the roses! 😊
