I'm really not that into measuring, weighing, counting, or tracking every item I eat. I've been thinking about it and I think I am going to try tracking my foods for a little while. The measurments might not be exact because I willnot weigh and measure everything but I will try to be accurate.

I guess I want to do this because I want to see how I'm eating on the South Beach Diet. I like being able to lose weight without worrying about counting calories or anything else.

We'll see how it goes.

I measure some things. It does help me to record food, holds me accountable plus keeps me engaged. Sometimes it is difficult to find the time. Good luck! You are on you way!!

That's why I decided to start recording for at least a short time. I know I need to hold myself accountable. I just am not going to go to extreme with weighing and measuring, so when it comes to that the foods I enter may be approximate measurments. I'm still loving South Beach Diet - I can't believe I have not touched fast food in 3 weeks! It's not even hard to turn it down. Yesterday was a "lazy" day for me. I didn't want to do dinner and the thought of grabbing fast food was starting to look good. Instead I went to safeway picked up more salad (and some t.v. dinner's for the kids) and went home to make one of my favorites "Pizza on a portobella mushroom." It felt great.

Pizza on a portobella mushroom is so delicious and perfect for the South Beach Diet. The mushroom is the crust so it's very low carb. I love it, I probably have it about once a week or so. You can put anything on it! I do bell peppers, onions, lean deli meat, skim cheese... YUMMY!
