In just a few days, I'll be heading off on a two-week summer vacation. I'm really proud of the progress I've made with my weight loss and muscle tone. While I might put on a few kgs during my trip, I'm not too worried about it.

During this period, I had the pleasure of helping two women achieve some impressive weight loss goals from April 1, 2024, to July 12, 2024. One lady went from 76.6kg to 68.8kg, and the other from 94.4kg to 84.1kg. It got me thinking that what we've learned together could really benefit other women dealing with hormonal issues, depression, PCOS, fatigue, or just feeling a bit unmotivated.

There's so much information out there, and it can be confusing. What worked well for me and these two ladies might not be for everyone, but it's worth sharing.

I found that rather than obsessing over calorie counts and eating empty foods just to hit a target, focusing on nutrient-rich choices made a big difference. For some, signs like bloating, fatty tummy or feeling sluggish after carbs could mean they're not the best choice. Athletes might need them for energy, but if you're dealing with prediabetes or inflammation, it's worth considering other options like eggs, fatty, nutrient rich meats, or organ meats – they don't have to be pricey cuts. And avoiding foods with lots of additives and hidden sugars can really lift your mood and stop the yo-yo of fad diets.

For these ladies, removing all seed oils, cutting back on processed carbs, adding in a bit of exercise a couple of times a week, drinking plenty of water, and allowing for a treat now and then during social outings made a big impact. Plus, ditching protein shakes and bars in favor of real meals seemed to help them stick with their goals better.

They've reported feeling lighter, fewer cravings, better moods linked to hormones, and even an improvement in their skin. It's been rewarding to see how these simple changes can make such a positive difference in people's lives.
My advice to these friends, try it and if it doesnt work, go back to calorie counting and eating rice cakes with peanut butter, but I am happy to say this is a lifestyle they are happy to stick to.
