do you have a specific recipe for the polenta?

@mewgirl : Oven 325F; Stir polenta* into hot water/stock; cook covered 30m; stir & cook additional 30m; add grated cheese (eg pepperjack) & lots of herbs and back 10m. Let cool. If you make extra, you can pour molten polenta into a sheet pan to fry in butter on day 2. *we often add jalapenos, shallot, etc… and other spices at the beginning And ENJOY !! 😋

it's interesting how you make polenta! what is that ratio between polenta and water/ broth? I make it usually on the stove, and it takes the friction of that time. The popular way to eat it here is with feta, fatty bacon and smoked paprika sizzling in fat:) It is called "kachamak", the Romanians have "mamaliga". I like it more runny. It can be served as a dessert as well with varyatis of jam and cream.

The ratio is between 3:1 and 4:1 depending on the dry polenta & liquid. I’d start at 4:1. You can always add more cheese if it’s too loose. 😋🧀 We used to make it on the stovetop but this is much easier because you don‘t have to watch it. The result is super creamy and just as good. Give it a try!!

BTW, we have a double wall oven so there‘s always room to bake/cook/braise at 2 fifferents temperatures. The pork was also braised at 325F for 3.5 hrs
