Maybe try incorporating green tea

they say illness can come with inflammation which retains water which might be the reason for the increase in weight in such a short time.

I've been drinking clove tea as it's a natural anti-inflammatory and is supposed to help with bladder infection, etc. Will incorporate green tea as well - thank you 😊

Just remember that medication tends to affect weight loss as well.

Natural way to heal a bladder infection is drinking a lot of water , also have a cup or two of water with lemon slices.

Oretia, I feel you. Inflammation from an infection can make you gain a lot in a short time. I have Crohns and when it acts up I can gain as much as 2KG in just two days. I do drink Canephron when the kidneys are having a hard time with a UTI (and the chronic meds). It helps a bit to relieve the pain and to get the fluids moving.

Lisa, I can't imagine having to go through that... you must be very strong, emotionally and mentally to handle that 😔 especially when you're doing everything to combat weight gain. Thank you for reaching out and sharing, it means so much 😊

The Tetleys Green Mint tea comes highly recommended. I've tried many brands and that one is quite quaffable. It's smooth without that bitter bite that most green teas have.

you most likely gained muscle, or calories not entered accurately, or water retention, weight doesn't appear from no way

Mandla, I'm extremely careful with recording calories and have been counting calories for years and years and record every little thing that goes in my mouth down to the gram. Sometimes health issues are the cause as Lisa shared or external issues like stress... some of us are more sensitive than others to external factors outside our control. If I was living on takeaways, sweets, chocolate, cake, etc. then the weight gain would be self-explanatory and to be expected...

When setting up my cut I work out my deficit everyday for a week in advance. Add it together, divide by 7000 ( 7000kcal in a kg of fat). Now you can decide whether you want to lose, 500g or 1.5kg a week. Works for me. ;)
