this isn't true at all. if you go to work some days and not on others, you didn't consistently go to work. if some days you do the best work and some days you do no work, you were inconsistent. unless we're talking about being consistently inconsistent. sticking to not sticking to something, then yeah this picture makes sense. we can't change the definition of things because it's difficult to achieve and we feel bad when we fall short.
