As we edge closer to the New Year, I'm not going to say "drink responsibility," because who exactly drinks responsibly, especially on New Years Eve? I am going to say "drink in moderation and be safe."
Take it from a former alcoholic, AA meetings are boring and drunk driving fines will temporarily rob you of your freedom, and thank the gods I didn't hurt or kill anyone in the process. I'm now reformed and realized the error of my actions. I was one of those young and naive types, but experience taught me a valuable lesson in life.
Don't take anything for granted, whether it be binge drinking and driving or careless eating habits, it will all come back to haunt you when you're older. Intelligence isn't wisdom. It only becomes wisdom if you don't ever do it again, otherwise, you just repeat history and nothing has been changed or learned.
As a final note: Take responsibility for your actions at all times and Karma won't come back with a vengeance demanding your head on a silver platter. Live long and prosper.
