That was the BEST Christmas feasting EVER!!!
I am so happy that I enjoyed my food, though it was not my usual fare. Parents were flooded out - well, we are flooded in and they can't get to us, same end result. I still made the special feast , but had roasted chicken rather than sirloin as planned, which I am saving for 12th night in the hope that they will be able to come then and share with us.
This has been the first time in my life that I ate a comfortable amount of food, feeling well satisfied though not over full. Usually Christmas is a time for eating till it hurts and drinking too much, which hurts the next day. Pain on pain. No pain for me. :D
I was relaxed and happy, good company, perfectly cooked food and absolutely no stress before, during or after. On the kcals I came to 90% of my new reduced RDI, and still had a feast. What could be better?
Roll on boxing day....
