Is this the rate I should be losing on atkins? I feel like I have been doing extrememly well, and moderately exercising, and I am losing at a slow pace. Maybe its just my imagination?? It took me forever to break out of the 150's, and now, I can't seem to get to my low 140's (specifically 142- pre preggo weight).

I feel like I am getting addicted to weight loss, my ability to say no to foods has gotten better, and I am satisfied eating veggies and chicken, or sugar free jello. I am also increasing my water intake.

How many pounds a week should I am for on atkins?

There is no specific number of pounds a person should be losing on any particular diet. Rate of loss has to do with genetics, how much you need to lose, age, amount of exercise, etc. A person who has 100 pounds to lose and a person with 10 pounds will lose at different rates. Even on Atkins, weight loss tends to slow down. If you lose 1 to 2 pounds a week, you are doing great. Fast weight loss also leads to more loose skin. Just keep going and you will be fine. You can't compare yourself to others because we all lose differently.

I understand where your coming from. I can't seem to break out of the 190's. I started at 203 and have 30lbs to lose as my 1st goal and that will put me at my skinnest i've ever been. But for the past month i bounce around from 190 - 193 but never below. Its so frustrating. But to stay positive we may be losing slow but at least we are losing and not gaining. Keep working at it, it will happen but just not at the pace we want it to.
