Sundays are hard days for being in control of my desires for food. Sundays are the days when our kids and grandkids are here visiting. It's usually a day of feasting and celebrating our love for each other and today was no different. Compared to some family gatherings, ours might seem small with 9 of us. But when we (mostly my wife and I) are expected to provide all the food, prepare all the food, serve all the food and then clean up, without any help, well it's exhausting. Then, as soon as the meal is over, everyone leaves. That's both good and bad. It's good because peace comes after a long day, bad because we (my wife and I) are left with cleaning up the entire mess of the day. But for me, the hardest part is being able to make the right choices of what goes on my plate. So I expect the scale to be a little higher than it should be. So I'm thankful for family, food and the fact that tomorrow starts a new week of taking control of my eating choices. At least until Sunday!
Have a blessed night!
