Get thee behind me Satan! Lol. So yesterday I went to pick up my Wal-Mart order. Wal-Mart pickup has been an enabler for me b/c I was able to sneak food inside the house without kids being able to see the sweets that I was buying. Anyway, so I get home and start taking things out of the trunk, and I have received what looks like half of someone else's order. And of course it has one of my biggest temptations - Double Stuffed Oreos. Apparently Oreo also makes ice cream bars b/c some of those were in there too.

I've tried returning food to Wal-Mart before when they've given me extra things, and they just won't take them. So now these cookies live in my closet. I might just donate them to a food pantry or something. There were other things in there that I don't usually eat, like baked beans and juices/teas.

But why couldn't this have happened when I was still eating whatever I wanted? LOL.

Anyway, I have stayed strong, and am trying to stick to the plan. Slow and steady wins the race.

As I have discovered, best to get the trigger foods out of the house ASAP. There are those moments where if it is here, I will eat it.

if you return food anywhere in the U.S.A. by law they have to throw it away. So they usually tell you to keep it

do you have any friends that would possibly trade you for other items that you enjoy? I know it may seem strange to you but some of the things I do with some of my friends when this happens is we swap foods. So you have baked beans and teas and juices that you don't drink or maybe they have some food that you would like or have something that you would both take like flour or sugar or a base pantry item that would be useful for you over time just a thought that way you don't lose the value of the item and they gain something. But food pantries are always a good option and happy to receive any kind of donations as long as they're in date, and haven't been opened.
