Made this delicious lunch and had large amounts of healthy foods and still ended up eating a bag of chips after dinner 😒

Calories in,calories out, is such a old way of losing weight imho, it's not sustainable because they body goes into emegency mode thinking it's starving and lowers the BMR , bodies metabolic rate .Low carb, keto or carnivore seems like a better paln.

Kainwi, Down 100# plus over 3 years and maintained for over a year. Sometimes there's a reason old things stick around... They work. We are individuals. We live in our bodies. Everyone has to figure out their way of eating that they can sustain for life. If it's not sustainable, you're just riding the YOYO! No judgment here just support!

Entropy, looks really good to me. By good choices up front, the chips are not bad.

Looks like a good meal. My friend preportions 1oz of chips out in baggies and then puts them all back in the large bag, so she has to be mindful of grabbing each portion. Kiwa chips brand has some very low sodium options too.

Alas, I do the same thing, except with chocolate instead of chips 😉 Eat a healthy breakfast, pack a healthy lunch and snacks, and then stress eat sweets in the afternoon at work. So you're not alone. At least by getting the healthy stuff in first, we're getting some good nutrition. I try to just track my straying accurately and adjust calories down elsewhere in the day. It helps that I'm not a night-time eater and that I can generally take or leave dinner, so I can make up for it there

kalnwi -- I think you may be conflating what isn't sustainable for you with what isn't sustainable for others. CICO does not automatically lead to binging. To some extent, this is a myth perpetuated by the HAES community and just picked up by others with a slightly different spin to it. Nor does it work for everyone. Ultimately, the best diet for you is the one you can stick to. If that's low carb for you, go for it. I won't stand in your way, and I wish you all success. I'd be miserable on it. Seriously, do not get between me and my fruit and bread 😂

Cico has worked for me. Like, writing I'd be miserable eliminating whole food groups from my life. Entropy, try to not eat anything directly from the bag. Put your chips in a bowl in a measured serving. If you are still tempted to eat too many, maybe, at least for now, don't have chips in the house. Find a treat that you can eat in a measured portion & substitute with that.

Just don’t give up. Make more good choices than bad and you’ll get there.

Wonder if your body is craving starch, try adding a baked potato or potato wedges to lunch and save the greens for light dinner
