jeannie960's Journal, 18 Jul 15

Well 8 weeks into my 5:2 journey and it was the best move I ever made! Almost a stone lost at last and now down from 10st 3Ibs to 9st 4Ibs and I think that wee stray pound will be gone by Monday. My goal was to get there by the end of July and it looks like I will make it and then some.

Love all the folks over on the fast diet site who're all so knowledgeable and supportive and I'm looking forward to setting my next goal! I want to be 8st 7Ibs to give me some wiggle room and then I will go on maintenance of around 1500 calories a day. No hardship for me if it keeps the weight off and I can always go back to one fast day a week (500 cals) if I put a little on. I think that I will set that goal for the end of August so watch this space!

Can't believe I found a way that actually works without feeling I'm sacrificing my enjoyment of food. Mind you 8 weeks in I've still to find a way of eating healthily on non fast days as like most folks I mostly eat rubbish! If I ever crack that I will be amazed. I was so focused on getting the weight of that now perhaps I better pay more attention to what I am actually eating!
