Hi 👋🏻. Just wanted to share that it took me a good 6-7 months in a calorie deficit to see weight loss. I did not do a DRASTIC deficit is why. I wasn’t going to starve myself! Ya know? There are calorie calculators on-line that takes 1 min to fill out and help you decide what a healthy deficit is. I’d do the Mayo Clinic one, it doesn’t seem so radical as others. I did mainly meat, veggies, fruit, yogurt, and healthy fats like EVOO, coconut oil, and avocado oil when cooking. It’s been been 1yr 6 months and I went from 182 pounds to 130 (lowest 128) but I fluctuate by 2-3 pounds. I’m now in maintenance but still count every calorie I eat, takes the guesswork out!! It’s how I manage by type 2 DIABETES. I eliminated 90% processed foods. I cook my own meals and meal prep. IT SAVED MY LIFE!! After 6 months of healthier eating, I no longer had to take diabetes medication and my A1c got back down to 5.7 (prob lower now, that was from 1 year ago, due for my A1c test next month). I also strength train w dumbbells 2-3 Xs per week and walk daily (unless I’m sick). I Love walking 🚶🏼‍♀️. It’s easy and free. Whatever you decide to do, just know this is a marathon, not a sprint. Consistency and discipline matter because you won’t always feel “motivated”. My why?? To be a healthier version for my FAMILY 👨‍👩‍👧, especially my 2 granddaughters! 🩷💜 I wish you the best of luck!! 🩵 You can do this, you’ll feel so much better. 😁

Thank you all so much! If it takes a bit to respond, please forgive me. We are staying way out in the country where there is hardly any cell service while our house is being built. I am literally walking around for signal, lol...
