My longest turbo trainer ride over 100 km

Thank you 😊 It was really good, enjoyed it 😀 Had sausage, egg and mushrooms for breakfast. Then topped up with some Greek yogurt, seeds and almonds. The only thing I ate while on bike was a tub of cottage cheese! Had about 4 bottles of water and electrolytes on ride. Afterwards had some sweet potato, homemade mayo, bacon, cheese, dark chocolate….. then topped up with eggs, sauerkraut and mayo. My bum a little numb 🤣but apart from that I feel fine 🥰

I would do an hour on the turbo during lockdown which didn't require a refuel. But 4 hours is a different story. Great job with the liquids too. Is this going to be a regular thing or was it a one off challenge to yourself. I mean, there's no stopping you now 😀🚴

I wasn’t sure about refuelling but thought I’d have something rather than nothing as long time in saddle. The route was happening in real life on the same day which is why I wanted to do it. Not sure I’ll ever do it in real life as you have to be there about 5am would definitely do a long route again on turbo. I’ve been further on road but with stops…..

Its a different mindset in reallife, different challenge and a different skill set. A bit like open water swimming and swimming in the pool (which I prefer) Yeah, like the stopping parts!!
