Weird Question: I just learned that we burn on average 1800 calories just from sitting around everyday. Has anyone tried adding this to your daily exercise in order to get a more accurate account of daily burn? If so how did you do it?

based on your question it sounds like this is basal metabolic rate or BMR, heart pumping, lungs working, stomach churning, walking, standing...etc. there's online calculators that can share your BMR based on age, height and current weight. My BMR is 1556, im 30, 5ft 2.5 in, and 190 today. You dont wanna eat below your BMR, you can end up too sluggish and put body in survival mode, and hinder weight loss. I seem to lose weight if i stick close to my BMR, around 1600, but thats hard to maintain daily.

If you have an Apple Watch - mine tracks thru Apple Health and then posts it to FS. My TDEE is 1655 and I usually average around 1755 and on workout days I am at 2000 Calories out. I don't know if you can enter the information though but would think you could.

this site already does that. If you try to add an exercise you'll see that it takes away from the resting hours calculated in there.

Bubbles alot og people agree that the calorie recommendation is on the higher end for most. Theres free easy-to-use websites that provide more accurate information

I have to agree @dazey it is high, I have just lowered my daily target from 1600 to 1500; based upon information from other websites. I don't record exercise myself; I have never been able to exercise weight off, even when I was biking 34km each way to and from work I didn't lose weight. I just destroyed the nerves in my butt... lol. Would spend the last half hour singing 'i fell into that burning ring of fire' and 'the roof, the roof, the roof is on fire...' and suchlike. After an hour you can feel every stitch in every seam in your gel filled bike pants. But I'm digressing...
