I had always heard that it becomes more difficult to lose weight as we get older. I want to let everyone know that it isn’t!
I’m 47 and just lost 40 lbs. In 13 weeks. It wasn’t any more difficult than when I did it in my twenties or when I did it in my thirties.
Maintain a strict calorie deficit and exercise.
I believe that people use their age as an excuse.

I would agree somewhat but I have been a yo yo dieter all my life. I could lose it easily but then it would come right back. But menopause made it a LOT more difficult but still doable to get down to a 31” waist and a size 4. I am still trying to get to my goal of a 30” waist.

I disagree, after 50 it becomes much harder, dealing with menopause and hormones greatly affect the ability to lose, I'm in my latter 60s, active and have a struggle to lose.

Redporchlady - me too. The hardest part is not regaining the weight. I have a plan this time, so I hope that I can do it

Mlaurie7 - I’m sure you are correct. So far, I haven’t run into that problem, but I will be 50 soon. Best of luck to you
