During the year I have been away from this app I gained 15 pounds. in October I started cutting way back on carbs: it worked wonders for me I started losing at a slow but steady rate, annoy 5 lbs per month. By March I had lost 25 pounds and am under 200 for the first time in 20 years. For me low carb and tame eating is the way to go. My cravings are much less and I have more control over them. I do not believe there is one diet for all we each have our own pitfalls and we each need to find what works for our body.
