mars2kids's Journal, 13 May 15

I don't know about anybody else, but I sure wish it was Friday. At least we have nothing going on tonight, so hopefully I can get to bed at a decent time. I think that getting used to this new way of eating put me through some withdrawal like symptoms yesterday. I was so tired all day and had a terrible headache and my body was achy. I can eat regular sugar, but I'm sure I've reduced the amount of sugar and sweeteners that I would normally eat, so I wonder if that's it. It's amazing how the body works. Today I'm feeling a little better, not as tired, the headache is almost gone.

With this new way of eating I have to make my lunch every day, I can't just grab a frozen dinner, so that's been hard since I've gotten into the habit of grabbing and going. This weekend I'll have more time to make my lunch, so hopefully I can get some things pre-made and frozen. I am still working on the carb, protein, fat balance.

Exercise is still at none, and probably will be until the weekend. I think being tired, busy, and getting used to the new diet is going to do me in this week. Tonight I would have time, but after working late, and eating dinner as soon as I get home, I don't think it will happen and I'm going to try to hit the hay as early as I can. Tomorrow my daughter has a choir concert and my son has baseball, so I've made my peace with the fact that I may only get exercise in this weekend.

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday!!

I am so glad you decided to do the elimination diet - once you figure out what irritates your stomach, you can figure out what to eat so you can avoid pain!

I've found that when I don't get 8 hours of rest, I too snack. And just eat to keep energy up. Looking forward to early bedtime...or at least a nap!
