Yesterday I learned that aspartame can have the adverse reaction of causing belly fat and I can never look at Diet Coke the same way.

What’s the point of drinking something that’s low/zero calories if it will still cause belly fat?
I am learning that products made with Stevia can be a healthier (still not healthy) alternative, as well as Splenda.
Luckily my drink of choice is Gatorade Zero, which does not contain aspartame.

Just food for thought to share with all of you!

I never liked Aspartame. It tastes bitter to me. I prefer Splenda or Stevia. I get flack from my husband for doing low carb.

Gatorade zero does have artificial sweeteners. There is some body of evidence that indicates our bodies react to these sweeteners just like sugar. IMO it’s easier to drink water and not worry about all that. :-)
