I’ve been splurging for the last two days. Like I opened Pandora’s box by taking that one bite of brownie. 😒 I should’ve known better but I was craving something sweet. Saying yes to the brownie put me on a spiral into other carbs. Maybe my body needed it. I’m trying to increase my milk production so maybe the carbs help? But I know instinctively that I have to stop myself or I’ll end up over 200 again. I’m only 5’1” so I have to be careful. My body doesn’t do well over 200lbs. Here’s to a renewed motivation to get the numbers moving down again!

Yes carbs are a need when nursing. Especially in the first few weeks. I've personally noticed oats and electrolytes help me the most in boosting milk supply. Trying to find a healthy balance between keeping baby well fed and losing weight is challenging though.

And drink lots of water, 100oz a day. Oh, and don't get sick. My wife got sick for a week and production was terrible afterwards. Luckily this was month 7 and we had a deep freezer full that lasted another 6 months.
