Well, it's been a mixed bag this last fortnight... as I write, I've yet to record last week's 'no weight lost - How closely followed? Poorly' but I made up every single calorie I went over, so it's a bit galling to have only lost 2 lbs over the fortnight, to be honest. Still, as someone commented a fortnight ago - onwards and upwards... 2 lbs is better than a kick in the teeth. Perhaps it's because I'm going through The Change. Girls! I suggest losing the weight BEFOREHAND if you're going to! Lol...
Anyway, blood tests came back and I'm in fine fettle, surprisingly. I haven't strayed into diabetes land... in fact my counts for that and slightly raised cholesterol are better than they were a year ago. It turns out I had some sort of infection, which my body seems to have fought off without medical intervention, although I'm having another blood test in a fortnight just to check.
My worry is, that I've eaten little in the last couple of days and the scales this morning look great, but it's probably a false reading. I've tweaked the original diet over the years to take account of my character (I know me and what works and where I'm going to f*ck up and how to stick with it despite the f*ck-ups), but if the scales don't read 15-7 next week (2 lbs less than today) and I've stuck to it 100%, then I'm going to have to up my exercise or something.
Oh well, cross that bridge when I come to it. I'm certainly in the right frame of mind for sticking to my slimming ways, so it's all good.
Now what photo of a fabulous creation from this week shall I post? Has to be the panzanella. Came in really low on the calories, as always. 300 plus 'free veg' (I count separately). Here's before the toss... lol... after... and the next day's half for lunch, by which time it was very soggy and still absolutely gorgeous...
