Weighed in at the gym. Workout capri's, tee shirt and running shoes. Got my measurements done today as well. Chest 36 1/2, Waist 34, Hips 42. BMI was 24 and Body Fat is 33.1% which was done by this thing that looks like a video game driving wheel. Don't know how accurate it is, but it gives me a starting place. Did Body Pump for the first time today. Arms and legs are barely functioning at the moment.

I had my body fat done by that "game controller" thing as well Mamma - It is off by +3 or -3 most of the time. The only way to get a true reading is to go in an underwater tank and get measured, and who the heck does that????? I hope this provides you with happiness or a starting point of where you want to go to. I hope to get mine measured next Tuesday and will update you on all my new measurements, fingers crossed they go well.

I read the same thing Allie. I don't think I am going to spring for a dunking in an overpriced pool. The only places around me that have them is the weight loss clinics (a.k.a HCG diet). Even if the game controller thing isn't too accruate, it will tell me if I am gaining or losing body fat the next time I do measurements. I was surprised that the body fat was so high, but the trainer explained that even folks in low-normal body weights can have high fat percentages. It the lean mass thing. Time to find mine!

you are doing great!! Look at your chart and keep up the good exercise. I think it's great to have a number to work from but don't let it bug you

My body fat was at 27.9% which is normal, but on the higher end of normal. I was looking to drop it to under 25%, we will see. It is harder for women to get their body fat down, whereas men get their body fats as low as 6%, wowza! We just hold onto extra fat for child bearing - damn genetics!! :) I hope you can get to where you want to be mamma! I think you rock though!

Really too bad that the fat percent doesn't drop when you get beyond child bearing years...in fact it seems to want to increase.
Welp, no fat granny here! I want a rock'n bod at 70!
