Bloat is really getting me this week. I think part of it is just the weather....Temperatures over 100 everyday this week and Heat Index even higher. On my back porch at 5:30 temperature read 103.6. We hit 76 year record highs in the area with Bryan/College Station hitting 105 degrees. The previous record was 102 set in 1933 for June 24th. Texas is BURNING UP!!!

You'd think I would be drinking water, water, water, but finding myself at Chick Fil A for Diet Lemonade and Sonic for Diet Cokes and Tea. Today, trying to get the water in. With TOM coming also craving chocolate and salty foods, not good. I am hoping to still be 160.4 for tomorrow's weigh in, but if not, then I will just work harder next week.

Tonight is first round of County Machine Pitch Baseball games. We play at 7:30. Then depending on if we win or lose, will play tomorrow or Saturday. Final game is July 2nd for County. Top 2 teams then will advance to District play which begins July 13th. Nothing like baseball in Texas Summers!!!!!

Exercise going ok, not getting in the evening Treadmill workouts unfortunately. Late baseball practice last night, Tuesday night had my neice and nephew watching them while their mom and dad were in the hay fields. I hated for them to ride around in the tractor all evening, even cab and air one. So I volunteered to keep them. Does chasing 4 kids around count for exercise?

Tonight with game, not treadmill either. Too hot to walk outside during lunchtime, so today brought my tennis shoes and plan to start walking the mall during my lunchtime. Won't get in a mile, but any bit of walking is better than nothing :)

Hope everyone is having a great week and looking forward to the weekend. Stay cool everyone!!!

WOW it is HOT there! Have you tried a slice of lemon in a a glass of water? My favorite for a hot day. Good old TOM, bringing on the salty/chocolate cravings. I saw at our local candy store down town, chocolate covered potato chips - The kids said YUCKY.... I thought Oh those look good. LOL I think chasing 4 kids around does count as exercise! Stay Cool!

Hang in there. Do y'all have the humidity we have in MS, along with the high temps? I am so looking forward to cooler mornings and evenings after a long, hot, muggy summer. We had a light rain Tuesday which cooled things down from 108 (heat index) to 98 for a little while. Just that small decrease in temp helped me lose some water weight, temporarily, I'm sure. It amazes me how the weather affects my weight.

Yes, College Station area is Hot and Humid. We are only about 130 miles from the Galveston Coastline. I have heard that dry heat isn't so bad, but this humidity just takes your breath away. I have grown up in Texas all my life, lived in Dallas area as a child, went to College at Texas A&M, so you'd think I would be used to it. This year however, we have hit the heat about a month earlier and I think that is the problem. We are so wondering what this means for July / August when these higher temps normally hit.

Wow I don't envy your weather one bit!! I can understand the hectic life. That's when we gotta be creative with the workouts. Any little bit helps!! While at practice or watching games, even standing up to watch vs. sitting will burn calories. Try that!

Feeling your pain down here in San Antonio, Jc! Then pile on TOM...Grrrr~~~Just miserable! I've been walking at 6:30am just to try to beat the heat...but it's already 78/79 degress when I wake up :-( These 100+ daily temps are no joke! Took a late-night walk last night at 10pm...it was STILL 89 degrees. Aughhh...I don't even want to think about Jul/Aug. Stay Hydrated & Hang in there... And good luck with the ball games! Oh, and chasing the kids & cheering in these temps? Oh Yeah! Sounds like a good workout to me :-)
