The more protein I put in the fewer carbs I crave (I am a carboholic!). I cook a batch of chicken breast at the beginning of the week...at least 4 large breasts...on the grill (or skillet w/Pam) with no added fat or salt. Whenever I get a craving I shove a piece of chicken in my pie hole before I do anything else. It seems to do the trick.

You need to join the group called "What to feed your face? Healthy food database!" There's a discussion topic called High Protein/Low Carb Meals and Snacks. Check it out.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! I laughed so hard at DebCinIL's "pie hole" comment!! I'm so glad I stumbled upon this post!! I also tend to cook chicken or lean beef and keep it in the frig as a go-to for cravings. I also think I'll check out the food database group... cool! :)

I love natural peanut butter - yum! Try it with some sort of fruit (apple, banana, etc). I eat it nightly and it is pretty filling. I do limit myself to 1 tablespoon though and try to devide it evenly between the fruits. Yum. Also, a protein smoothie can go a long way. A scoop of mix is between 100 - 150 calories, blend with ice and milk, low carb and low calorie snack (sometimes, it's even like a milkshake, yummy!). Good luck :)

I second the peanut butter comment above. I love peanut butter (natural) with bananas. By far one of my favorite snacks.
